Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to inform treatment planning. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy. Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute psychiatric episodes and ensure client safety. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations, maintaining accurate medical records and progress notes within EMR/EHR systems. Facilitate specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, pediatric therapy, autism spectrum disorder support, and gender issues counseling. Collaborate with medical professionals for psychopharmacology management and coordinate case management efforts for clients with co-occurring disorders. Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection to enhance treatment outcomes and adhere to evidence-based practice guidelines. Skills Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, diagnosis coding (ICD-9/10), treatment planning, and clinical documentation standards. Skilled in crisis management, crisis intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies for diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders. Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care needs, chronic pain counseling, and co-occurring disorders. Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and experience providing clinical services via telehealth is highly desirable. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to build rapport in individual or group settings while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health care and proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes.
