Behavioral Health Clinician - Mental Health, SUD & Co-Occurring Treatment Hybrid | Salida, Colorado / Chaffee County Independent Contractor with Potential for Full-Time Salaried Employment About Sagebrush Recovery Sagebrush Recovery is a growing Colorado behavioral health organization providing mental health treatment, substance use disorder treatment, co-occurring treatment, peer recovery support, and outpatient behavioral health services through a combination of telehealth and community-based care. As we expand our physical presence in Salida and Chaffee County , we are looking for a clinician who is excited about more than simply carrying a caseload. This position offers the opportunity to help strengthen and expand our local clinical programming, work collaboratively with an experienced behavioral health and peer support team, and potentially take on a significant role within our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Our clients may seek treatment for mental health concerns, substance use concerns, or both, and services are individualized based on each client's needs, goals, and circumstances. We are especially interested in clinicians who enjoy working in a smaller, mission-driven organization where there is room to grow, contribute ideas, develop new programming, and help shape services as the organization expands. The Position This is a hybrid clinical position , combining in-person services from our Salida office with telehealth services as appropriate. The position will begin as an independent contractor role , with the potential to develop into a full-time salaried position as our Salida programming, clinical caseload, and IOP services continue to grow. Responsibilities may be tailored based on the clinician's experience, licensure, interests, availability, and the level of responsibility they would like to take on within the organization. For the right candidate, this position has significant room to grow beyond a traditional individual caseload and may include group programming, IOP responsibilities, program development, and increased clinical leadership over time.

Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:

Complete biopsychosocial (BPS) assessments and other clinical assessments Develop individualized treatment plans and participate in ongoing treatment-plan reviews Maintain an individual counseling/therapy caseload Provide treatment for mental health concerns, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions within the clinician's credentialed scope Facilitate clinical counseling and therapy groups Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation Participate in clinical case consultation and treatment planning Collaborate with peer support specialists, QBHAs, clinical leadership, referral partners, and other members of the client's care team Participate in care coordination and discharge or transition planning when appropriate Provide both in-person services in Salida and telehealth services Potentially assist with the development, facilitation, coordination, and/or clinical leadership of Sagebrush Recovery's Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Participate in program development as Sagebrush expands clinical services in Chaffee County and surrounding communities Minimum Qualifications Candidates must hold an appropriate Colorado behavioral health credential or professional license that allows them to provide behavioral health services within their scope and under required supervision, when applicable. We are interested in applicants with credentials including: Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) Pre-licensed professional counselor or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Pre-licensed social worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Pre-licensed marriage and family therapist or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Comparable Colorado behavioral health credentials may also be considered depending on education, scope, experience, and supervision requirements Pre-licensed clinicians are encouraged to apply. Preferred Experience We would especially like to hear from candidates with experience in: Mental health counseling or psychotherapy Substance use disorder treatment Co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment Group counseling or group therapy Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) treatment Individual counseling or psychotherapy Biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning Telehealth behavioral health services Medicaid populations Justice-involved or re-entry populations Rural behavioral health Trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based treatment Collaborative care involving clinical, peer, and community-based services Working with individuals who have experienced barriers to accessing behavioral health care Culturally responsive and affirming behavioral health treatment Previous IOP and/or group treatment experience is highly preferred , particularly for candidates interested in taking on greater program responsibility as this position develops. Schedule & Location Location:

Salida, Colorado / Hybrid This role will include opportunities for in-person clinical services at our Salida location , along with telehealth services. Scheduling and overall workload may initially be flexible and will depend on clinician availability, current caseload needs, group programming, and the responsibilities the clinician is interested in taking on. Candidates interested in helping facilitate or oversee IOP programming should be comfortable with scheduled group hours, which may include evening programming. Because we are actively expanding our in-person presence in Salida, candidates should be able and willing to provide at least some services locally rather than working exclusively through telehealth.
