A Mental or Behavioral Health Counselor works with patients to treat mental health problems. Assesses patients and assists with diagnosis, counseling and crisis intervention. Consults with nurses, doctors and psychiatrists. May work with specific populations, such as youth, senior citizens or substance abusers, in group settings, facilities or hospitals.

Working under the supervision of licensed clinicians, you'll help clients overcome challenges, build coping skills, improve family relationships, and achieve meaningful treatment goals through both in person and telehealth sessions.
Responsibilities include:
Provide individual, family, and supportive counseling services in person and through telehealth Teach coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, problem solving, and healthy decision making Build strong therapeutic relationships with clients and families Implement treatment goals developed by the clinical team Collaborate closely with licensed therapists, case managers, schools, and other community providers Complete documentation in a timely manner Participate in regular supervision and professional development This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to gain meaningful counseling experience while making a lasting difference in the lives of children and families while developing confidence providing therapy across multiple settings. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Sociology, Family Studies, or another behavioral health related field Passion for working with children, adolescents, and families Strong communication and relationship building skills Ability to work independently while remaining part of a collaborative team Experience is helpful but not required.
