Job Summary General Mental Health Services (GMHS) is seeking a fully bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our behavioral health team. The LMHC will provide psychotherapy, clinical assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing behavioral health services to patients. This is a hybrid 1099 independent contractor position , with in-person therapy sessions at our Miramar office and additional sessions provided via telehealth . Candidates must hold an active and unrestricted Florida LMHC license and be comfortable providing services in both English and Spanish. Compensation is negotiable based on experience, availability, and caseload. Duties Provide individual psychotherapy and mental health counseling to patients. Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and clinical evaluations. Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions based on each patient's diagnosis and treatment goals. Monitor patient progress and treatment outcomes. Complete progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and other required clinical documentation accurately and on time in the EHR. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychiatric providers, therapists, and other members of the clinical team as appropriate. Identify and respond appropriately to crisis situations and patient safety concerns. Refer patients to appropriate community resources or higher levels of care when clinically indicated. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, payer requirements, and applicable clinical regulations. Provide psychotherapy through both in-person sessions at our Miramar office and telehealth . Maintain professional and ethical standards in all patient interactions.
