  • informed , weight-neutral care to join our team.
This role provides outpatient individual, family, and group counseling to youth and adults ages 6-24, and their caregivers or families navigating eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image distress. This is a hybrid position based out of our Grants Pass office location, combined with telehealth service delivery. A key responsibility of this position is delivering compassionate, anti-diet outpatient eating disorder treatment while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary care teams, including HAES-aligned registered dietitians, primary care physicians, and medical specialists. Supervision is provided directly by a Clinical Supervisor for licensed clinicians. Pre-licensed candidates will receive clinical supervision tailored toward licensure and specialized eating disorder care. While previous experience with eating disorders and weight-neutral care is strongly preferred, we are fully committed to providing specialized training and clinical mentorship to the right internal or external candidate who demonstrates a strong passion for this field. This is a non-exempt position, paid on a fee-for-service model, with an hourly rate provided for administrative tasks. This full-time position is also eligible for benefits provided by the practice.
About Transform Youth and Family Counseling:
Our mission is to serve youth, parents, and their families by providing a safe, welcoming, inclusive place for mental health treatment and wellness. Our vision is a community in which individuals and families feel valued, understood, and empowered. We believe that providing mental health services and support at the individual, caregiver, and community level can ultimately transform lives.
Our Values:
Transform Youth and Family Counseling lives by values that guide who we are as a team and how we present to our community. We hire staff who bring these values to life.
  • Empowering Client Voice
  • We believe that all clients—from youth to parents and caregivers—should have a voice and be heard. We believe in approaches that empower clients to create treatment goals, advocate for their needs, and collaborate with their support systems to find what works best for them.
  • Accessible, High Quality Mental Health Services
  • We accept and bill several insurance companies so that services are affordable. Our therapists have flexible appointment times that make it easier for individuals and families to access services.
  • Community Engagement
  • We know that mental health issues don't occur in a vacuum.
Part of successful treatment is supporting the entire family system, equipping caregivers, and cultivating a community that encourages mental health awareness. We engage the community by reducing mental health stigma, providing community trainings and presentations, and collaborating with other community providers to provide a comprehensive approach to mental health treatment.
  • Respect and Equity for All
  • We are an LGBTQIA+ inclusive, social justice-oriented, and body-liberation-centered practice. We believe in treating all people with respect and equity across all body sizes, shapes, identities, and backgrounds. We welcome our clients to be their most authentic selves where they will not be judged or weighed.
  • Continuous Growth
  • Our therapists are committed to continuous learning and personal growth.
We emphasize continuing education and learning so that we are truly specialists in our field. We continue to ask ourselves "how can we do better?" and challenge one another both professionally and personally.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-person and telehealth outpatient counseling services to youth and adults ages 6-24, and their caregivers or families struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns using a weight-neutral, HAES-informed framework.
  • Conduct high-risk case management screening intakes for clients with reported disordered eating issues.
  • Serve as an internal clinical resource, providing consultation and specialized treatment recommendations to other therapists within the practice regarding eating disorders and weight-neutral care.
  • Utilize evidence-based, ED-informed clinical modalities (such as Family-Based Treatment/FBT, CBT-E, ACT, or DBT) adapted through an anti-diet lens.
  • Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary treatment teams, including outpatient dietitians, medical providers, and higher levels of care (PHP/IOP/Residential) for seamless client transitions and medical safety monitoring.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, level-of-care evaluations, and risk assessments related to eating disorder pathology and psychological stability.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate outpatient ED or body image support/skills groups as assigned.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision and peer consultation focused on eating disorder care and HAES principles.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with agency expectations.
  • Hold and maintain active licensure, associate registration, or QMHP registration in the State of Oregon; abide by all ethical and legal standards for practice.
  • Respond to client inquiries within two business days.
  • Complete all clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record by end of day each Sunday, including: intake assessments, group notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination summaries, and contact notes.
  • Participate in at least one community engagement or eating disorder awareness activity annually.
  • Attend all required staff meetings, trainings, and supervision as assigned.
  • Maintain professionalism, collaboration, and respect in all interactions with clients and team members.
  • Support a positive, growth-oriented team culture centered on body liberation and health equity.
  • Perform other clinical duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field (required).
  • Active Oregon license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD) strongly preferred; board-registered associates working toward licensure or board-registered QMHPs will also be considered.
  • Ability to deliver a minimum of 22 clinical hours/week (inclusive of individual, family, and group sessions).
Note:
While the standard minimum requirement of 22 delivered clinical hours per week remains the same, overall active client caseload numbers for this role are typically smaller to accommodate the higher intensity of ongoing case management, multidisciplinary team care coordination, medical safety monitoring, and family involvement inherent to eating disorder care.
  • Demonstrated training, clinical experience, and commitment to Health at Every Size (HAES®) principles, weight-neutral care, anti-diet frameworks, and Intuitive Eating principles.
  • Experience diagnosing and treating eating disorders (e.g., Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, BED, ARFID, OSFED) across youth, adult, and family systems.
  • Proven experience collaborating with external medical and nutritional providers to manage client safety and care plans.
  • Strong commitment to working with diverse populations in an LGBTQIA+ affirming, anti-racist, and weight-inclusive setting.
