Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations and initial assessments to identify clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Provide individual, couples, and group counseling sessions grounded in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused brief therapy, among others. Maintain detailed case notes and documentation to ensure compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations, while also tracking client progress. Collaborate with an integrated healthcare team, which may include psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide holistic care tailored to each client's needs. Stay abreast of the latest developments in the mental health field by participating in ongoing training, attending workshops, and seeking out educational opportunities. Advocate for clients' needs and assist them in accessing additional community resources, ensuring they have comprehensive support. Patient Population / Client Focus You will work with a diverse array of clients seeking support for various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and substance use disorders. Your role will involve developing therapeutic alliances that empower clients to explore their emotions and develop coping strategies. Our clients range from young adults to seniors, with unique backgrounds and experiences, reflecting our commitment to inclusive and culturally competent care. Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Active licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical counseling setting, demonstrating a strong competence in individual and group therapy. Knowledge of various therapeutic approaches and the ability to adapt them to meet the distinct needs of clients. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and familiarity with other relevant healthcare technologies. Preferred Experience Specialization in areas such as trauma-informed care, family therapy, or substance abuse treatment is highly desirable. Experience working in a community health setting or with telehealth platforms is a plus. A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with mental health best practices. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive annual salary starting from USD 80,000 and can reach up to USD 100,000, depending on your caseload and experience.
