Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing clinical documentation standards and ICD coding (ICD-9, ICD-10). Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral therapy. Provide individual, couple, and family counseling sessions focusing on mental health issues like PTSD, grief, addiction, developmental disabilities, personality disorders, and interpersonal issues, etc. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during emergencies. Utilize EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient care, medical records, treatment progress, and clinical notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage in case management activities including patient assessment, treatment planning, and coordination of care with other healthcare providers. Deliver telehealth therapy services utilizing secure platforms to expand access to mental health support across diverse settings. Maintain professional development by staying current with clinical research, ICD coding updates, and best practices in behavioral health. Experience Proven experience working with children and adolescents in clinical or outpatient settings. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, psychopharmacology (if licensed), and evidence-based practices like applied behavior analysis. Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders including substance use and mental health conditions. Familiarity with hospital or inpatient experience is preferred; knowledge of medical terminology and medical documentation standards is a plus. Strong background in crisis management, trauma-informed care—including PTSD care—and behavior management techniques. Prior experience providing services via telehealth platforms with an understanding of HIPAA compliance and telehealth-specific challenges. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and familiarity with clinical documentation standards is essential. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining ethical guidelines outlined by licensing boards and clinical ethical standards.
