Position Summary The Mental Health Therapist provides individual therapy and clinical assessments for adults experiencing mental health concerns. This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive intake assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and collaborating with other providers to ensure quality client care.
Qualifications:
Education & Licensure Applicants must hold one of the following active Maryland licenses: LMSW or LCSW-C LGPC or LCPC Experience Minimum of one year of experience providing mental health and/or substance use treatment preferred. Population Served Adults Essential Responsibilities Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial intake assessments within established timeframes. Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans. Provide individual counseling and therapeutic interventions to support clients in achieving treatment goals. Conduct ongoing clinical assessments and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate. Respond to and de-escalate client crises when necessary. Coordinate care with physicians, case managers, and other treatment providers. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic health record. Provide family counseling and education when clinically appropriate. Attend staff meetings, clinical supervision, and required trainings. Maintain active professional licensure and fulfill continuing education requirements. Complete all required documentation, reports, and administrative tasks accurately and on time. Promote effective communication and collaboration with team members. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Observe and report safety or maintenance concerns. Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and appropriate therapeutic boundaries with clients. Exercise sound clinical judgment and seek consultation when needed. Protect client confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA, federal, state, and agency privacy regulations. Report concerns regarding privacy or policy violations in accordance with agency procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
