LAC Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) to join our team. The LAC will provide high-quality mental health counseling services to individuals, families, and groups under clinical supervision. This role involves assessing clients' needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support emotional and behavioral well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial intake assessments, including gathering client history and identifying treatment needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients. Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling using evidence-based therapeutic modalities. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and client progress. Participate in regular clinical supervision as required by licensing regulations. Stay updated on best practices and new developments in mental health counseling. Adhere to all ethical, legal, and professional standards, including HIPAA compliance. Provide crisis intervention and referrals as needed.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Active Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) certification in the state of Arizona. Experience working with diverse populations and mental health conditions. Strong knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and evidence-based interventions. Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Proficiency in clinical documentation and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
