Overview Join our dynamic mental health team as a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW), where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, evidence-based counseling services to diverse populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in outpatient clinics, delivering high-quality mental health care. As an LAC/LSW, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support clients' emotional well-being, develop personalized treatment plans, and foster positive behavioral change. Your expertise will help empower individuals and families to overcome challenges and achieve their goals in a supportive environment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs. Provide individual and family therapy sessions incorporating therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, and dance therapy Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during emergencies. Deliver specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and gender issues counseling Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology effectively. Collaborate with case management teams to coordinate care plans and monitor client progress through data collection and behavioral health assessments. Engage in clinical research activities when applicable, contributing to the advancement of best practices in mental health treatment. Qualifications Active licensure as an Associate Counselor (LAC) or equivalent credential in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Demonstrated experience with psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and social work practices. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic purposes and CPT coding for billing procedures. Proven ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or special needs including autism spectrum disorder. Experience delivering telehealth services using secure platforms while adhering to HIPAA standards. Strong skills in crisis management, behavior management, patient assessment, and patient care coordination. Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and familiarity with inpatient/outpatient clinical settings. Ability to handle sensitive situations involving trauma or grief with compassion and professionalism.
