Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine appropriate treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, family, and youth therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavior management techniques. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety and stability during emergencies. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and medical documentation requirements while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Utilize EMR/EHR systems for accurate clinical documentation, progress notes, treatment planning, and medical records management. Engage in case management activities including patient care coordination, social work collaboration, and research to support evidence-based practice improvements. Provide specialized counseling for clients with co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care needs, addiction issues, or gender-related concerns. Facilitate intake assessments and conduct mental health evaluations to determine client needs effectively. Participate in telehealth therapy sessions utilizing telehealth experience to expand access to care across diverse settings. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or equivalent in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and diverse populations in outpatient or inpatient settings. Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and clinical documentation standards. Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders and managing complex cases involving mental health and behavioral health needs. Excellent communication skills for client engagement, client communication documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, medical records management, and ethical guidelines governing clinical practice.
