Full-Time or Part-Time Position Summary A growing behavioral health organization is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Counselor to provide counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, and families in the Middletown area. The position will work closely with local schools, families, educators, and community partners, with a strong emphasis on supporting school-aged children and adolescents. The counselor will also have the flexibility to serve adults and families based on their experience, interests, caseload preferences, and the needs of the community. Services may be delivered in schools, an outpatient office, community settings, or through telehealth. The schedule and clinical focus can be structured around the strengths of the selected candidate. For an experienced clinician with an interest in leadership, this position may also include opportunities to mentor staff, provide clinical guidance, strengthen school and community partnerships, and help shape the continued development of behavioral health programs. Key Responsibilities Provide individual, family, and group counseling to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Conduct behavioral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, behavioral challenges, family concerns, and other mental health conditions. Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, administrators, caregivers, and other professionals to coordinate appropriate support for students. Build productive relationships with schools, families, healthcare providers, and community organizations. Provide services across school-based, outpatient, community, and telehealth settings as appropriate. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical needs. Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, and appropriate referrals when necessary. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in the electronic health record. Participate in treatment planning, case consultation, team meetings, and organizational initiatives. Follow applicable ethical standards, licensing requirements, HIPAA regulations, and organizational policies. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health discipline. Current Ohio behavioral health license, such as LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, LMFT, or an equivalent credential accepted for the position. Experience providing counseling or behavioral health services. Strong interpersonal, communication, assessment, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with schools, families, clinical teams, and community partners. Ability to travel locally between service locations as needed. Comfort working in a flexible environment where services may be delivered in person and through telehealth. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Experience in school-based or community behavioral health. Familiarity with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, and co-occurring conditions. Experience collaborating with educators, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community agencies. Knowledge of evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment approaches. Previous mentoring, supervisory, team-lead, or program-development experience for candidates interested in the leadership component. Pay:
