Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately identify client needs and create personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual. Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, using modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to clients of all ages. Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups to provide clients with essential coping strategies and a sense of community strength. Engage in collaboration with psychiatrists and psychologists to ensure that treatment approaches are consistent and comprehensive. Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring clients receive timely help. Educate clients regarding their mental health conditions, treatment options, and pertinent community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery. Maintain accurate, confidential, and time-sensitive documentation in compliance with both legal and ethical standards. Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to further enhance your skills and knowledge. Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health research and treatment methodologies to provide the most effective care possible. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, each facing unique challenges. Our patient population includes individuals struggling with a variety of mental health disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and substance use issues, among others. Your work will directly contribute to their recovery and improve their overall quality of life. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD within the state of Virginia. In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and experience with evidence-based treatment modalities. Strong capabilities in conducting thorough mental health assessments and developing actionable treatment plans. Proven track record delivering both individual and group therapy, effectively serving a diverse clientele. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster trusting relationships with clients and coworkers. Strong ethical standards with sound judgment under challenging circumstances. Proficiency in EHR systems and standard computer applications for record keeping and communication. Ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously within a multidisciplinary team of professionals. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating proficiency and growth in various therapeutic approaches. Experience in a community health clinic setting or outpatient facility is highly desirable. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from
USD 80,000
to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
