Description Position Overview Hope Balance Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team remotely. In this full-time position, you will utilize your expertise to support diverse populations by providing culturally sensitive, therapeutic interventions in a virtual setting. Work Environment This position offers the convenience of remote work, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your own home while maintaining flexibility to meet patient needs. Regular office hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some adjustments expected to accommodate varying client schedules. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments through virtual platforms to gauge patients' conditions and develop personalized treatment plans. Utilize evidence-based interventions tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring cultural sensitivity and appropriateness. Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address diverse mental health issues while fostering a supportive therapeutic alliance. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to coordinate care and share insights on patient progress. Respond promptly to crises by providing immediate support and intervention during mental health emergencies, utilizing telehealth platforms to maintain communication. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment strategies, and available community resources, empowering them to take an active role in wellness. Maintain comprehensive and confidential patient records in compliance with ethical standards and regulations. Engage in regular case conferences and professional development workshops aimed at enhancing cultural competency and treatment efficacy. Stay current with research and best practices in mental health therapy, including developments specific to diverse populations and culturally-informed treatment. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clients include individuals and families from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds, reflecting the rich diversity of Savannah and surrounding areas. You will have the opportunity to work closely with populations that may face unique challenges related to mental health, including refugees, LGBTQ+ individuals, and minority communities. This role allows you to make a significant impact on their lives by providing tailored, compassionate care that respects and integrates their individual experiences and identities. Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia. Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment practices, demonstrating cultural competence in therapy. Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy effectively and compassionately. Excellent crisis intervention skills, with the ability to remain composed under pressure. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to foster rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth software to deliver care efficiently and document a proper workflow. Commitment to ethical practice, professional boundaries, and client confidentiality at all times. A collaborative mindset to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team. Preferred Experience Experience working in community health settings or with underserved populations. Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and practices. Continued engagement in training focused on cultural sensitivity and inclusivity in therapeutic practices. Compensation and Benefits This role offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
