Description Position Overview New Era Family Behavioral Services is seeking compassionate and qualified Licensed Mental Health Therapists, including Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), to join our remotely operated outpatient office based in Paterson, New Jersey. Our outpatient office environment emphasizes teamwork, providing opportunities for regular check-ins and collaborative case reviews with other mental health professionals through video conferencing and online platforms. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments while employing evidence-based practices to develop personalized treatment plans. You'll guide clients through individualized therapeutic journeys, tackling their unique challenges. Implement a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to foster resilience and facilitate meaningful change in clients' lives. Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records in line with HIPAA regulations, ensuring ethical practice and safeguarding client information. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team, comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, and other specialists, to deliver holistic and coordinated care, leveraging collective expertise. Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings that enhance care quality by sharing insights and refining treatment approaches. Support and educate clients and their families regarding mental health issues, treatment strategies, and available community resources, empowering them to navigate their challenges effectively. Stay informed about emerging research and advancements in the mental health landscape, integrating this knowledge into your practice to ensure high standards of client care. Patient Population / Client Focus Our diverse client population reflects the vibrant community of Paterson, New Jersey, and includes individuals from various cultural, economic, and demographic backgrounds. You will work with clients experiencing a spectrum of mental health challenges, including mood disorders, trauma-related issues, and life transitions. Your role is pivotal in understanding these complexities and tailoring interventions that resonate with each individual's experiences. Qualifications A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution, reaffirming your dedication to academic and professional excellence. An active license in the state of New Jersey as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) evidencing your qualifications and commitment to ethical practice. Proficiency in solution-focused psychotherapy techniques is essential to customize treatment plans effectively, ensuring relevance and effectiveness for each client. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are crucial for establishing meaningful therapeutic relationships and trust with clients. Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving capacity to navigate complex clinical situations and collaboratively promote positive outcomes. Preferred Experience Previous experience in a remote counseling environment is preferred, equipping you with the skills necessary for engaging clients effectively through telehealth platforms. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, inclusive of performance-based bonuses.
