Contract Licensed Professional Counselor Living Bread Counseling Center Living Bread Counseling Center is a private, nonprofit, Christian-based counseling center specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. We are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and individualized care while honoring each client's unique values, needs, and goals. We are seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or comparable independently licensed clinician with a master's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field to join our growing team on a contract basis. About the Opportunity This position is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who has experience working with individuals diagnosed with eating disorders—or who is interested in developing specialized expertise in eating disorder treatment. We value clinicians who are compassionate, collaborative, and committed to helping clients move toward lasting recovery. As a Christian-based counseling center, clinicians should also be comfortableintegrating Christian faith and spiritual perspectives into treatment when requested by the client . Responsibilities The clinician will be responsible for: Providing individual counseling to clients with eating disorders and related concerns Conducting clinical assessments and providing appropriate diagnoses Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans Maintaining timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation within an electronic health record (EHR) system; training is available as needed Monitoring client progress and providing appropriate clinical updates Collaborating with each client's multidisciplinary treatment team, including Registered Dietitians, physicians, and/or psychiatrists Participating in monthly staff meetings Providing required updates regarding caseload and client numbers Collaborating with Living Bread's Financial Assistance Committee when clients receive financial assistance Schedule & Work Setting This is a flexible, contract position designed to accommodate the clinician's schedule and professional goals. The position will initially begin on a part-time basis , with the opportunity to grow into a full-time contract position as the caseload develops . Clinicians have flexibility in determining the number of hours they would like to work based on availability, interest, and caseload. The position is primarily in-person , as we value the connection and therapeutic relationship that can be fostered through face-to-face care. Telehealth may be utilized when necessary and clinically appropriate to provide flexibility for both the clinician and client.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will:
Hold a Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related mental health field Hold an LPC or comparable independent clinical license Have experience treating eating disorders or demonstrate a strong willingness to receive training and develop competency in eating disorder treatment Be comfortable working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team Demonstrate strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills Be willing to integrate Christian faith into counseling when requested by the client Be willing to apply for insurance provider privileges Demonstrate a commitment to ethical, compassionate, client-centered care Be willing to provide primarily in-person services, with telehealth utilized as needed and clinically appropriate Why Join Living Bread?
