The ideal candidate will provide high-quality therapeutic services to individuals, particularly children and families, addressing a range of mental health issues. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions in both individual and group settings. The counselor will work collaboratively with clients to promote emotional well-being and facilitate positive change. Duties Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess client needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Provide individual and group therapy sessions focusing on various issues including PTSD care, and behavior management. Maintain accurate medical documentation and data collection for all client interactions in compliance with regulatory standards. Offer direct support to clients and their families, fostering a supportive environment conducive to healing. Implement effective strategies for child family counseling, ensuring the involvement of family members in the therapeutic process. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and share insights on client progress. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling. Requirements Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent certification. Experience working with children and families in a therapeutic setting is preferred. Strong skills in medical documentation, data collection, and diagnostic evaluation. Knowledge of group therapy techniques and addiction counseling approaches.
