Job Description

Proactive Medical and Wellness is seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our growing behavioral health practice. This is a part-time, 1099 independent contractor position , initially approximately one day per week , with the opportunity to increase hours as the caseload and group therapy program grow. We are seeking an LPC who is comfortable working with children, adolescents, and adults and who has experience providing individual and group therapy . Clinical Areas The ideal candidate should be comfortable treating: Anxiety Depression Grief and loss Substance use and addiction Anger management Emotional regulation Trauma Behavioral concerns Stress and adjustment disorders Family/relationship concerns Child and adolescent behavioral health Co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders Experience working with patients receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including Suboxone treatment , is a plus. Responsibilities Provide individual counseling to children, adolescents, and adults Facilitate group therapy Conduct behavioral health assessments Develop individualized treatment plans and goals Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions Provide age-appropriate therapy for children and adolescents Collaborate with parents/guardians when clinically appropriate Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation Coordinate care with psychiatric and medical providers Monitor patient progress Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Identify and appropriately respond to behavioral health crises Group Therapy We are especially interested in a counselor who can help develop and facilitate groups focused on: Addiction and recovery Relapse prevention Anxiety and depression Grief Anger management Coping skills Emotional regulation Adolescent behavioral health Stress management Life skills
Qualifications Required:
Active, unrestricted Texas LPC license Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field Experience providing psychotherapy Comfortable treating children, adolescents, and adults Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently
Preferred:
Group therapy experience Substance use/addiction counseling experience Child and adolescent therapy experience Grief counseling experience Trauma-informed care experience Experience with MAT/Suboxone populations Experience treating co-occurring disorders Telehealth experience Currently credentialed with insurance companies is a strong plus
Pay:
$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
