Master's degree Full Job Description Now Hiring 1099 Licensed Professional Counselor in Overland Park, KS Overview Join our mental health team as a 1099 Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), where you will be an independent contractor working with the group practice to serve clients in the Johnson County and greater Kansas area. Our clinicians can choose their hours and if they prefer to see in person or virtual clients and often a mix of both is where they land. We strive to create an environment where clinicians can be authentically themselves and supported while supporting the community as a whole. Our environment is focused on providing the support for our contractors to practice in an independent manner while providing resources for them to be successful. Licensure and Professional Standing Maintain all licenses, registrations, certifications, and professional credentials required to practice counseling in Kansas. Maintain professional liability insurance. Clinical Services Provide counseling services consistent with accepted standards of care. Exercise independent clinical judgment regarding diagnosis, treatment planning, referrals, interventions, and discharge decisions. Maintain responsibility for all clinical decisions affecting clients. Documentation and Compliance Complete all clinical documentation accurately and timely. Maintain records in compliance with HIPAA, Kansas law, payer requirements, and Practice policies. Professional Conduct Maintain confidentiality. Complete state required continuing education. Conduct themselves professionally and ethically at all times. Notify the Practice immediately of any disciplinary action, ethical complaint, malpractice claim, criminal charge, or licensing investigation. Experience Licensed LPC or LCPC in Kansas Completed a Masters or Doctorate level degree in Counseling Completed and Internship in Counseling Typical Client Demographics Referred to Practice Neurodiverse Alternative Lifestyle LGBTQIA+ Life Transitions High Performance Stress Ideal Clinician Characteristics Self Motivated Mature Presence Fully affirming of ALL lifestyles Open to consultation and group collaboration KS licensure LPC or LCPC Willingness to accommodate your client schedules 1099
