65% of collections with a steady referral stream Position Summary Mosaic Mental Health, PLLC, an established outpatient psychiatric practice, located in Katy, TX, and serving the greater Houston area as well as the state of Texas, is seeking a fully licensed therapist (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) to build a caseload supported by a steady stream of referrals from the practice's active psychiatric patient panel. Unlike platform-based or referral-free contractor roles, this position comes with a built-in pipeline: our prescribers refer patients who need therapy directly to our in-house clinicians. About the Practice Mosaic Mental Health provides psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy services to children (ages 6+), adolescents, and adults, in office and via telehealth. The practice accepts Medicare, commercial insurance, and self-pay. Mosaic Mental Health is independently owned and clinician-led, founded, owned, and operated by a practicing PMHNP-BC, and maintains full administrative infrastructure, including a dedicated billing service, front-office staff with bilingual (Spanish) support, and credentialing support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide individual psychotherapy to an assigned caseload of adolescents and adults (and children ages 6+, if within your competence), in office and via telehealth. Accept and follow up on referrals from the practice's prescribing providers in a timely manner. Maintain one in-office day per week at the Katy office; remaining clinical time may be delivered via telehealth. Develop and lead group therapy programming as part of the practice's service offerings. Complete clinical documentation and coding consistent with payer requirements, with support from the practice's billing service. Coordinate care with the practice's prescribing providers, including timely communication regarding shared patients. Collaborate professionally with the practice owner, administrative staff, and affiliated clinicians. Minimum Qualifications Full, independent Texas licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT. Associate-level and provisionally licensed clinicians will not be considered. Unencumbered license in good standing with the applicable Texas board. Verifiable clinical experience providing outpatient psychotherapy; professional references from supervisors or practice leadership in prior roles. Current individual professional liability (malpractice) insurance, carried and maintained at the provider's own expense. Occurrence-form coverage is required, with Mosaic Mental Health, PLLC named as an additional insured. Proof of coverage is required prior to starting. Ability and willingness to lead group therapy sessions. Proficiency in insurance-based clinical documentation and coding standards for psychotherapy services.

Compensation Compensation is production-based at sixty-five percent (65%) of collections, which is above the effective rate of most Houston-area group practices. A steady stream of referrals is provided from the practice's active psychiatric panel; clinicians are not solely responsible for generating their own caseload, and self-sourced clients are welcome. Full-time clinicians maintaining a steady caseload can expect estimated earnings of $85,000-$105,000+ annually, depending on volume and payer mix. Increases to the percentage split are available after year two based on strong performance. Compensation is paid monthly based on actual collections received. Because insurance payers typically remit 30-45 days after the date of service, clinicians should anticipate that initial collections-based payments begin approximately four to six weeks after the start of clinical service.
The practice provides:
referral stream, full billing and revenue-cycle support through a dedicated billing service, credentialing support, electronic health record (IntakeQ), HIPAA-compliant communication platform, office space for the in-office day, and administrative support. Additional Requirements and Practice Standards Clinical documentation must be completed and signed within forty-eight (48) hours of the date of service. The provider agreement includes a sixty (60) to ninety (90) day written-notice requirement for termination by the provider, to permit an orderly transition of patient care. The provider agreement includes non-solicitation provisions covering practice-referred patients and staff; clients the clinician brings to the practice will be documented and excluded. Engagement is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check and OIG/SAM exclusion-list screening. Telehealth services must be delivered from a private, secure, HIPAA-compliant workspace with reliable connectivity. An up-to-date CAQH profile made available to the practice is required to support payer roster additions.
