Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Clinician to join our growing healthcare team. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing coding standards to accurately determine patient needs. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy. Provide direct support through individual, group, child & family counseling, and youth therapy sessions across outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings. Manage crisis situations effectively by implementing crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies to ensure patient safety. Document all clinical encounters meticulously in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR), adhering to clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection to enhance treatment efficacy and contribute to best practices within behavioral health services. Qualifications Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related mental health field. Licensed or credentialed as a mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) with current licensure applicable in the state of practice. Proven experience working with adults, children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, co-occurring disorders, PTSD care, and Geriatrics is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of clinical counseling techniques including psychotherapeutic modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology essential for accurate documentation. Experience with telehealth therapy platforms and clinical research methodologies preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients effectively while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Ability to manage crisis situations swiftly using crisis management protocols while demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity.
