Job Overview Our Agency is actively recruiting Professionals from Orlando, Davenport and Kissimmee flexible to work in office, online and to visit client homes We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals facing mental health challenges, assisting them in their recovery journey. You will work closely with clients, offering therapeutic interventions and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. This position requires a strong understanding of various therapeutic techniques and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities Provide direct support and care to clients. Conduct patient assessments and assist in the development of individualized treatment plans. Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention. Implement behavior management strategies and assist with crisis management as needed. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records and progress notes, in compliance with HIPAA and Medicaid regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care, including case management and diagnostic evaluations. Support patients dealing with issues such as PTSD, addiction, grief, chronic pain, or developmental disabilities. Participate in clinical research initiatives and contribute to data collection efforts related to behavioral health outcomes. Requirements Experience in mental health counseling or related fields is preferred; familiarity with psychotherapy techniques is a plus. Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation is essential. Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with telehealth, office and face to face practice, outpatient clinic experience is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Understanding of medical terminology and experience with medical documentation processes. Ability to work effectively within a team environment while demonstrating empathy and compassion for clients' needs.
