A Mental or Behavioral Health Counselor works with patients to treat mental health problems. Assesses patients and assists with diagnosis, counseling and crisis intervention. Consults with nurses, doctors and psychiatrists. May work with specific populations, such as youth, senior citizens or substance abusers, in group settings, facilities or hospitals.
Reinventing Hope Counseling is looking for a licensed or temporarily licensed clinician to join our growing group practice and help serve our steady stream of incoming inquiries. We are seeking a clinician who is trained in EMDR, comes from a faith background, and is comfortable thoughtfully integrating faith and spirituality into therapy when desired by the client. The ideal clinician will have availability for at least 18 client sessions per week and primarily work with adults ages 20 and older. We handle the majority of the administrative work and marketing so you can focus on what you do best: providing excellent therapy. Compensation is offered through a competitive percentage-based split , along with administrative support, marketing, referrals, peer consultation, and resources to help you build and maintain a strong caseload. Position Overview:
We are looking for therapists and counselors who are purpose-driven, clinically curious, growth-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about providing high-quality care. The right clinician is someone who wants more than simply a place to see clients. Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide outpatient individual psychotherapy through telehealth and/or in-person services, as applicable, using Reinventing Hope Counseling's HIPAA-compliant systems. Maintain an accurate and updated clinical calendar and communicate changes in availability as needed. Maintain regular and reliable attendance and arrive on time for scheduled sessions and responsibilities. Maintain appropriate Tennessee licensure and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, ethical standards, and professional requirements. Maintain professional liability insurance as required. Respond to client communication and scheduling needs in a professional and timely manner, generally within 24 business hours. Complete appropriate clinical assessments and provide treatment within the clinician's scope of competence. Collaborate with other members of a client's treatment team, including physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, or other providers, when clinically appropriate and with appropriate authorization. Complete clinical documentation accurately and within required timelines, including intake documentation, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge or termination documentation, and other clinically necessary records. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records. Follow Reinventing Hope Counseling policies and procedures regarding scheduling, documentation, billing, communication, confidentiality, and client care. Participate in collecting client payments when appropriate and follow established practice procedures related to fees and payment. Attend team meetings, consultations, trainings, or practice events as applicable. Participate in community relationship-building and referral networking to support both the clinician's caseload and the growth of the practice. Collaborate with other clinicians and contribute to a supportive team culture. Participate in continued professional development and clinical growth. Perform other reasonable duties related to the clinician's role as needed.
Compensation and Benefits:
This is a 1099 independent contractor position . Compensation is based on a competitive percentage split of collected session revenue . Qualifications and Skills:
Must be able to work at office in Goodlettsville, TN. Master's degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or another related mental health field. Must hold an active Tennessee mental health license or qualifying temporary license , including PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC-MHSP, LPC, or other applicable credential. Documentation of current licensure must be provided to Reinventing Hope Counseling. Must be trained in EMDR and have experience utilizing EMDR with clients. Must come from a faith background and be comfortable working with clients who wish to incorporate faith, spirituality, and/or religious beliefs into therapy. Must also be able to provide ethical and respectful care to clients of different faith traditions and clients who do not identify with a faith tradition. Align with the mission, vision, and values of Reinventing Hope Counseling. Available to maintain approximately 18 or more client sessions per week , provided appropriate referrals and scheduling availability. Experience working with adults ages 20 and older. Strong interest or experience in trauma-informed therapy. Have at least one clinical niche or specialty area, such as trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, grief, relationship concerns, attachment concerns, or another area aligned with the practice. Organized, dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented. Able to work independently while also participating actively in a collaborative team. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally with clients, clinicians, practice leadership, and community referral partners. Comfortable receiving constructive feedback and continuing to grow professionally. Prior private practice experience is highly preferred. Experience facilitating groups, workshops, or psychoeducational programming is preferred but not required. Post-graduate clinical experience is preferred.
