Overview Join our collaborative mental health team as a Pre‑Licensed Mental Health Counselor ( LMHCA) and support clients through compassionate, evidence‑based care. This hybrid role offers a Monday-Friday, 9-5 schedule, combining in‑person and virtual sessions. You'll provide therapy under supervision while building strong clinical skills across diverse populations. Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and intake evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy to individuals and groups. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and facilitate behavior change. Provide specialized child, adolescent, family, and youth counseling services, including behavior management and social skills development. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies, ensuring client safety and stability. Document all clinical interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR/EMR), maintaining compliance with

HIPAA, ICD

coding standards (ICD-9/10), and clinical documentation requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on treatment planning, case management, and progress monitoring for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master's program in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field; eligible for licensure as an LMHC or equivalent. Prior experience or training in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, or behavioral health interventions. Familiarity with

ICD-9/10

coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical record documentation. Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or co-occurring disorders is highly desirable. Knowledge of crisis management protocols, grief counseling approaches, addiction counseling methods, and telehealth therapy platforms. Strong communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with healthcare professionals. Ability to adhere to clinical ethical guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and documentation standards while maintaining patient confidentiality.
