Job Description
New Approaches Mental Health Services (NAMHS) is seeking full-time and part-time Mental Health Professionals to work with clients and their families in Iberia, St. Martin, St. Landry, Lafayette, St. Mary, and Vermilion Parishes. MHPs work with clients providing psychosocial rehabilitation and therapy relating to the client's diagnosis. Potential candidates must be driven, able to work independently, flexible, willing to work evenings and weekends, and willing to travel. A Masters degree in Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Rehabilitation Services, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Secondary Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Human Growth and Development, Criminal Justice, or Social Work is required .

- Previous experience working in a hospital or mental health setting is preferred
- Knowledge of direct support techniques for individuals with mental health challenges
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Experience working with children is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
