$30 per completed client session Job Overview A solo-owned private practice is seeking to expand and looking for a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Mental Health Counselor-Limited Permit holder (MHC-LP) who is interested in gaining supervision hours while developing their clinical skills and building a caseload. This is a flexible hybrid position that includes both virtual and in-person counseling services. The office is conveniently located in White Plains, New York. The specific balance of remote and in-office sessions will be discussed based on client needs, practice needs, and the clinician's availability. This opportunity is ideal for an emerging clinician who wants the independence of private-practice work with consistent clinical guidance and support. The practice accepts most major insurance plans, uses an electronic health record (EHR) system. Clinical supervision will be provided every other week in accordance with applicable professional and licensure requirements. Responsibilities Provide virtual and in-person mental health counseling services to assigned clients. Conduct intake assessments and gather relevant clinical and psychosocial information. Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans and goals. Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically appropriate case notes in the practice's EHR system. Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as needed. Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans when clinically necessary. Coordinate referrals and additional services when clients require support beyond the practice's scope. Maintain client confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries. Attend biweekly clinical supervision and come prepared to discuss cases, concerns, documentation, and professional-development needs. Maintain consistent communication regarding scheduling, documentation, and client-care needs. Follow all practice policies, ethical standards, insurance requirements, and applicable laws and regulations. Work collaboratively with the practice owner to build and maintain an individual caseload. Qualifications Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited program. Current New York State Mental Health Counselor Limited Permit or eligibility to obtain one. Interest in completing supervised clinical hours toward LMHC licensure. Ability and willingness to provide both virtual and in-person services in White Plains, New York. Strong clinical, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Ability to complete case notes and other required documentation accurately and on time. Ability to work independently while remaining open to supervision, feedback, and continued professional growth. Demonstrated commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, and client-centered care. Previous counseling or clinical experience is preferred but not required. Supervision and Practice Support Clinical supervision provided every other week. Opportunity to obtain qualifying supervised experience toward LMHC licensure, subject to applicable requirements. Support with developing and growing an individual caseload. Access to the practice's EHR and clinical documentation system. Processing of eligible insurance claims through the practice. Guidance with case conceptualization, treatment planning, documentation, ethical decision-making, and professional development. Flexible hybrid scheduling based on clinician availability and practice needs. Compensation $30 per completed client session. The session rate includes the counseling session and completion of the corresponding case note and other required documentation. Payments are issued twice monthly—on the 15th and the final day of each month. Additional terms and the nature of the working relationship will be discussed during the interview process.
