Description Position Overview MindWell Therapy Services is seeking a full-time, Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) to join our dedicated team. Work Environment This position allows for a remote work setting while primarily based out of our outpatient office in Oxnard, California. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive, mindfulness-based interventions, including MBSR techniques, tailored to each client's unique challenges. Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify clients' mental health needs, stressors, and personal goals, leveraging findings to customize therapy sessions effectively. Guide clients through mindfulness practices including meditation, breathing exercises, and self-reflection techniques aimed at fostering emotional balance and self-awareness. Facilitate group workshops to educate clients on mindfulness practices, stress management strategies, and resilience-building techniques. Integrate mindfulness into individual therapy sessions, focusing on addressing specific mental health concerns, promoting insight, and encouraging therapeutic growth. Maintain meticulous records of client progress and mindfulness interventions, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of clinical documentation. Engage in ongoing personal mindfulness practice, as well as continuing education, to deepen your expertise in mindfulness-based therapies and enhance treatment effectiveness. Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will involve interacting with a diverse clientele, ranging from individuals experiencing chronic stress to those coping with anxiety, depression, and various emotional challenges. You will tailor your therapeutic approach to meet the distinct needs of each client, fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where they feel safe and empowered to explore their mental health journeys. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California. Demonstrated training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is highly preferred. Proven ability to integrate mindfulness techniques into therapeutic practices effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in creating a calming and supportive therapeutic environment. Preferred Experience Previous experience working in outpatient mental health settings and delivering psychotherapy to diverse populations. Background in facilitating therapy-focused workshops or group sessions on mindfulness or stress management. Strong commitment to ongoing personal and professional development within the field of mindfulness and mental health counseling. Compensation and Benefits Competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000.
