Pediatric Behavioral Health & Family Support Clinician — LCSW Chatterbox Pediatric Therapy - 4.8 Pooler, GA Job Details Part-time $40 - $50 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Social Work License Clinical social work Full Job Description Part-Time | Hybrid | Growing Caseload | Opportunity to Help Build a
New Program Compensation:
$40-$50/hour for Direct Clinical Time Help Us Build Something Families Need We believe children thrive when we support the whole family. Our pediatric therapy practice has spent years helping children develop communication, independence, confidence, and the skills they need to participate more fully in everyday life. As the needs of the children and families we serve continue to evolve, we are expanding our vision beyond traditional therapy services. We are looking for an exceptional Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who shares that vision and is excited about helping us build an integrated Pediatric Behavioral Health & Family Support Program . This isn't simply a position for someone looking to add clients to a counseling schedule. We're looking for someone who sees the bigger picture. Someone who understands that a child's developmental journey may also involve anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, caregiver stress, a new diagnosis, school difficulties, family transitions, behavioral concerns, navigating healthcare and community resources, and the overwhelming question parents so often ask: "What do we do next?" We want to build a program that helps families answer that question. Our Vision Our long-term vision is to create a more integrated approach to pediatric developmental care—one that recognizes that helping a child thrive often means supporting the people and systems surrounding that child. We envision behavioral health and family support becoming an integral part of our interdisciplinary care model, working alongside speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, pediatricians, schools, and community resources. We want families to experience one coordinated team rather than a collection of disconnected services . We're looking for the right clinician to help us bring that vision to life. What You'll Do Your clinical work may include: Individual counseling for children and adolescents Family counseling Parent coaching and caregiver support Behavioral and mental health screening Treatment planning Crisis assessment and appropriate referral Support for anxiety, emotional regulation, adjustment, grief, trauma, and family transitions Support for children and families adjusting to developmental or medical diagnoses Because this is an integrated position, you'll also have opportunities to collaborate with our pediatric therapy team and other professionals involved in a child's care. This may include interdisciplinary case consultation, coordinating referrals, communicating with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals, supporting continuity of care, collaborating with schools when appropriate, and helping connect families with community resources. Family Support & Navigation One of the things we believe can make this program special is recognizing that families sometimes need more than counseling. They may need someone who can help them understand where to turn next. Depending on the family's needs and your expertise, you may help connect families with: Community resources School-based supports Caregiver resources Developmental and behavioral health services Medicaid resources Waiver and disability-support resources Other healthcare and community providers We do not expect one clinician to know every system or have every answer. We do want someone who is resourceful, curious, collaborative, and willing to help families find the right next step. Help Us Build the Program This is one of the things that makes this opportunity different. We want your ideas. Our behavioral health and family support program is growing, and the clinician joining us will have the opportunity to influence what it becomes. As the program develops, opportunities may include helping us create: Parent education programs Caregiver support groups Pediatric behavioral health programming New-diagnosis support Family resource guides Community partnerships Interdisciplinary care pathways Parent workshops Educational resources Outcome measurement Additional behavioral health and family-support services If you are someone who sees an unmet need and naturally thinks, "We could build something to help with that," we would especially like to meet you. The Person We're Looking For The right person will be an excellent clinician—but we're looking for more than clinical skills. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys children and families and believes supporting caregivers is an important part of helping children succeed. You may be a great fit if you: Love working with children, adolescents, and families Have experience with autism, ADHD, developmental disabilities, anxiety, trauma, chronic medical conditions, or other pediatric populations Enjoy parent coaching and family-centered care Believe in treating the child within the context of the family Enjoy collaborating with other disciplines rather than practicing in a silo Are comfortable communicating with therapists, pediatricians, schools, and community organizations Are resourceful and enjoy helping families navigate complicated systems Are comfortable joining a developing program where you can influence how services grow Value relationships, compassion, clinical excellence, and practical problem-solving Are excited by the opportunity to help build something new Experience with Georgia Medicaid, Katie Beckett/Deeming Waiver, NOW/COMP, developmental disabilities, school systems, foster care, developmental pediatrics, or community resources would be particularly valuable but is not required. We care about finding someone who is curious, collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn. A Truly Integrated Role We don't want our behavioral health clinician practicing on an island. We want you to know our therapists. We want our therapists to know you. When an SLP, OT, or PT realizes that a parent is struggling, a child is experiencing anxiety, or a family needs support beyond what that therapist can appropriately provide, we want them to be able to say: "I'd like you to meet someone on our team who can help." That kind of warm handoff and interdisciplinary relationship is central to what we're trying to build. Hybrid Work Model This is a hybrid position , offering an appropriate combination of in-person services, telehealth, and remote administrative work based on clinical needs and program development. However, this is not intended to be a fully remote position. Regular on-site availability is an important part of the role. We want our Behavioral Health & Family Support Clinician to become an integrated member of our pediatric care team. Being present in the clinic creates opportunities for warm handoffs, interdisciplinary consultation, relationship-building with families, collaboration with our therapists, and development of new programs and services. Specific on-site days and scheduling can be developed collaboratively based on the clinician's availability, caseload, and the needs of the program. Documentation & Professional Responsibilities The clinician will be responsible for maintaining timely and accurate documentation consistent with clinical, professional, organizational, and payer requirements, including: Evaluations and assessments as applicable Individualized treatment plans Progress notes Outcome tracking Coordination-of-care documentation Compliance with applicable payer requirements Maintaining professional licensure and continuing education requirements Candidates are responsible for arranging and maintaining any supervision required for their individual Georgia license or professional circumstances.
Qualifications Candidates should:
Hold an appropriate Georgia clinical social work license and remain in good standing with applicable licensing requirements Have experience working with children, adolescents, and/or families Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and communication skills Be comfortable working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary pediatric environment Be able to maintain appropriate clinical documentation and meet applicable payer requirements Be available for regular on-site work as part of the hybrid position Experience in pediatric behavioral health, developmental disabilities, family systems, integrated healthcare, or related areas is strongly preferred. Schedule & Compensation This is initially a part-time, caseload-building position , with opportunities for additional clients, hours, programming, and responsibilities as the program grows.
Compensation:
$40-$50 per hour for direct clinical time , depending on experience and qualifications. The position is hybrid, with scheduling developed collaboratively around patient needs, clinician availability, and the need for regular on-site participation with our interdisciplinary team. We want to build the position thoughtfully rather than simply fill a schedule. Why This Role Is Different We're thinking about the future of pediatric healthcare. We believe families raising children with developmental differences need more than isolated therapy appointments. They need clinicians who communicate with one another. They need professionals who understand the family behind the child. They need support navigating complicated healthcare, educational, and community systems. And sometimes they simply need somewhere they trust to turn when they aren't sure what to do next. Our long-term vision is to become a developmental home for children and families —a trusted place that supports not only communication, movement, and development, but also emotional health, caregiver confidence, family resilience, and connection to the resources children need to thrive. We're looking for someone who wants to help us build it. If you're an LCSW who loves working with children and families, values interdisciplinary care, and is excited by the opportunity to help create an innovative pediatric behavioral health and family support program, we'd love to meet you.
