  • Provide direct care to clients and may serve as primary counselor to specified caseload under clinical supervision;
  • LPC-S available for Supervision
  • Provide individual supportive counseling, solution-focused interventions, emotional and behavioral management and problem behavior analysis with the client.
  • Participate in and utilizes strengths-based planning and treatments, that includes identifying strengths and needs, resources, natural supports and developing goals and objectives to address functional deficits associated with the client's mental illness.
  • Serve as a resource person for other professionals and paraprofessional in their specific area of expertise;
  • Attend and participate in individual care conferences, treatment planning activities and discharge planning;
  • Function as the client's advocate in all treatment decisions affecting the client;
  • Prepare and write notes or other documents related to recovery (e.g assessment, progress note, treatment plans, etc.
  • Assist the client in developing social and interpersonal skills
  • Assist the client with developing daily living skills to improve self-management of the negative effect of psychiatric or emotional symptoms that interfere with a person's daily living
  • Contributing to the development of the client's crisis contingency plan
  • Implement learned skills so that client can remain in a natural community location and achieve developmentally appropriate functioning; and Assist the client with effectively responding to or avoiding identified precursors or triggers that result in functional impairments Summary In the role of PLPC/LMSW, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive mental health support and counseling to clients, focusing on behavioral therapy and patient care.
Reporting to the clinical supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in patient assessment and medical documentation while employing premium techniques such as psychotherapy and crisis intervention. Your relevant experience with children and families, as well as knowledge of HIPAA regulations, will enhance your ability to deliver effective treatment plans. Qualifications Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Proficient in behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis Strong skills in patient assessment and crisis intervention Experience in psychotherapy, particularly with children and families Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation practices Familiarity with discharge planning and inpatient care protocols
