Provides school and community-based intervention programs to at-risk youth focusing on character building, decision making skills, communication skills, self-esteem, peer pressure, drug and alcohol awareness, etc. Provides training to schools and community agencies regarding identification of at-risk youth. Completes assessments on youth referred by school personnel or families. Consults with school personnel and families regarding individual youth. Works with school personnel and families to arrange and make appropriate referral for youth to services such as drug and alcohol intervention, drug and alcohol treatment, mental health treatment, etc. Serves as the liaison to area schools in regard to the Middle and Elementary Student Assistance Program.
