Job Description

About Us Healing Together Northshore PLLC is a growing private practice dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered psychotherapy. We value collaboration, professional development, and creating a supportive environment for both clients and clinicians. As part of our commitment to mentorship, we offer clinical supervision and business mentorship to help pre-licensed clinicians grow into confident, independent practitioners — both as therapists and future practice owners. Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Associate Therapist who has recently completed their master's degree and holds provisional licensure in Illinois. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a caseload in private practice while receiving high-quality supervision and mentorship on their path toward full licensure. The ideal candidate has experience and interest in working with both adolescents and adults, and a strong desire to expand their knowledge and clinical skills in treating substance use disorders and process addictions (such as gambling, gaming, or other compulsive behaviors). This position also includes mentorship in the business side of private practice and the opportunity to retain clients once independently licensed, supporting both your clinical and entrepreneurial growth. Responsibilities Provide psychotherapy to adolescents and adults (caseload will build over time). Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of mental health concerns, with opportunities for specialization in substance use and process-related disorders. Complete documentation in a timely and ethical manner, including progress notes and treatment plans. Collaborate with supervisor and participate in weekly supervision sessions. Engage in professional development and training opportunities as appropriate. Maintain ethical and professional standards consistent with licensing board requirements.
Qualifications Required:
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field. Provisionally licensed in Illinois (LSW, LPC, AMFT, or equivalent). Interest in working with both adolescents and adults. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Commitment to providing ethical, client-centered care.
Preferred:
Experience or a desire in working with substance use disorders and/or process-related disorders. Some prior clinical experience (internship or practicum acceptable). Interest in developing a private practice caseload long-term. Comfort with hybrid work (in-office and telehealth). Compensation & Benefits Split pay structure: 60/40 (clinician retains 60%). W2 employee status — payroll handled by the practice. Liability insurance provided by the practice. Weekly supervision with an LCSW (toward licensure hours). Business mentorship to support your growth as a therapist and private practitioner. Ability to retain clients once independently licensed. Flexible part-time schedule.
Pay:
$70.00 - $100.00 per hour
Benefits:
Flexible schedule
Work Location:
Hybrid remote in Northbrook, IL 60062
