Job description Quality Mental Health Professionals Bridgepoint Services, LLC. is seeking licensed mental health professionals. You must be registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP with experience providing mental health services to adults.

One must have the following:

Understanding of serious mental illness in adults Strong clinical and professional boundaries Ability to focus on outcomes and individualized care Ability to coordinate with various service providers, insurance companies and family members to achieve positive outcomes and prevent the individual's risk for hospitalization Strong verbal and written communication skills required Participation in monthly clinical supervision (at minimum) Submission of progress note, quarterly report and other clinical documentation in a timely manner

Responsibilities :

Provide one-on-one behavioral support services to clients experiencing a crisis jeopardizing their current placement. Initiate and facilitate de-escalation techniques and strategies to assist the client in maintaining self-control. Use good interpersonal communication skills to gain client cooperation and resolve conflict. Assess, evaluate and monitor the safety of the client and others at all times. Exercise appropriate intervention in accordance with the least restrictive alternative to hospitalization. Coordinate closely with other staff and community partners to ensure the appropriateness of treatment modalities and services being provided. Be available to provide services during the day, evening, weekends and holidays. Provide direct services to clients, including linkage, advocating, supporting, and providing education as needed. Respond to crisis situations immediately. Link clients with external programs or services, such as health services, psychiatric care, therapy, financial resources, substance abuse treatment, primary care, housing resources, transportation resources, and others Must be able to work in teams Collaborate and coordinate with other service providers and professionals, such as attorneys, social workers, and probation/parole officers. Complete all progress notes in a timely fashion. Recommend appropriate services for client. Assure client is informed of his/her human rights. Maintain contact with referring agency as needed. Conduct discharge planning in accordance with program description. Advise Clinical Director/ direct supervisor of the state of clinical services, its staff, and its needs and solicits assistance in implementing solutions to problems.

Mobile Crisis Training Minimum Qualifications:

Must hold, at minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Services to include social work, gerontology, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, special education, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, criminal justice and human services counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university and experience providing mental health services and case management to individuals suffering from a mental illness is preferred. This position also requires a valid driver's license, automobile and telecommunications availability, excellent verbal and written skills; counseling and social work theories and techniques; and community resources. Strong writing skills. The successful completion of a criminal history or background investigation is required.
