Job Overview Join Me Time Therapy , a modern, client-centered mental health practice dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services to young adults and adults across Florida. We are seeking a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) who has completed a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related clinical field and is actively registered with the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling . This hybrid position includes both telehealth and in-office psychotherapy sessions and is ideal for a clinician seeking to strengthen clinical skills, build a consistent caseload, and continue gaining supervised clinical experience toward independent licensure. Duties Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments under appropriate clinical supervision. Develop diagnostic impressions using DSM-5-TR and ICD-10 criteria within the clinician's scope of practice and supervision requirements. Provide evidence-based psychotherapy interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and trauma-informed approaches . Provide individual psychotherapy to young adults and adults through telehealth and in-office sessions. Work with clients presenting with concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, adjustment disorders, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and emerging adulthood challenges. Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor progress toward treatment goals. Maintain timely, accurate, and HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation , including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. Complete documentation necessary to support insurance billing and applicable psychotherapy services. Recognize and appropriately respond to crisis situations, including completing risk assessments and following established safety protocols. Participate in clinical supervision and case consultation as required. Maintain professional boundaries and comply with Florida laws, ethical standards, practice policies, and supervision requirements. Collaborate with administrative and billing staff to support continuity of care. Maintain and manage an assigned caseload independently while seeking clinical consultation when appropriate. Experience & Qualifications Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related clinical discipline from an appropriately accredited program. Active status as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) in the State of Florida . Must remain in good standing and meet all Florida requirements for registered interns. Experience working with young adults and adults preferred. Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills. Familiarity with DSM-5-TR and ICD-10 diagnostic criteria. Experience or familiarity with EHR systems and insurance-based behavioral health services preferred. Ability to work independently while appropriately utilizing clinical supervision. Strong communication, organizational, and professional skills. Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, and client-centered care. Bilingual Spanish-English strongly preferred. Interest in working with diverse and Latino populations is highly valued.
