Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas. A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required. Excellent proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly experience with AVATAR or similar platforms. Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
