Description Position Overview Thrive and Strive Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about providing exceptional care to clients in a virtual setting. Work Environment This role is entirely remote, allowing you to deliver care from the comfort of your home while leveraging cutting-edge telehealth platforms. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of mental health professionals and utilize advanced electronic health record systems to document and track patient progress. Our telehealth model not only provides flexibility but also expands our reach to serve clients who may lack access to traditional in-person services. Key Responsibilities Conduct preliminary assessments and client interviews to gather comprehensive information and establish a clear understanding of individual needs. Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health through standardized assessment tools and personalized consultations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique circumstances and goals of each client, including various formats for therapy such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, or family systems therapy. Lead individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe and supportive environment for open dialogue and personal growth. Monitor and document client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in their condition or goals. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to integrate care and ensure comprehensive support. Engage in regular follow-ups with healthcare providers concerning any clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care. Address any behavioral challenges that may impede recovery, providing strategies for clients and their families. Patient Population / Client Focus Our counseling services cater to a diverse clients' demographic, including adults, couples, families, and adolescents experiencing a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. This role demands a nuanced understanding of these issues and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the varying needs of each client. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas. A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required. Excellent proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly experience with AVATAR or similar platforms. Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices. Strong oral and written communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients. Preferred Experience Prior experience as a mental health counselor with hands-on therapy practice and a track record of developing effective treatment plans. Familiarity with a variety of mental health disorders including addiction, anxiety, and mood disorders. Experience in utilizing telehealth platforms for conducting therapy is preferred but not required. Compensation and Benefits Thrive and Strive is proud to offer a competitive annual salary ranging from
USD 80,000
to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
