Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety and stability. Develop and monitor personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and treatment planning best practices. Engage in case management activities, including patient care coordination, medical documentation, and progress reporting within EMR/EHR systems. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver clinical counseling services while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support clients with co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or chronic pain conditions. Maintain accurate medical records, conduct mental health assessments, and ensure compliance with ICD coding for billing and documentation purposes. Participate in ongoing clinical research or data collection efforts to enhance evidence-based practice initiatives. Support clients through grief counseling, addiction counseling, social work interventions, and specialized therapies such as art therapy or dance/movement therapy when applicable. Experience Valid state licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent credential required. Demonstrated experience working with children, youth, or adult populations in outpatient or inpatient settings. Proven track record delivering psychotherapy using modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy (TFT), or psychodynamic approaches. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder highly preferred. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, HIPAA compliance standards, and clinical documentation requirements essential. Background in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and social work practices preferred. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical terminology, and medical records management necessary. Prior experience working with co-occurring disorders such as mental health conditions combined with substance use or chronic pain is advantageous. Ability to handle sensitive situations involving trauma or PTSD care with empathy and professionalism.
