Cintas is seeking a Senior Counsel- Environmental, Health & Safety to provide in-house legal services to the company with particular emphasis on environmental, health, and safety regulatory matters. More specifically, the Senior Counsel
- EHS helps manage EHS legal matters and achieve appropriate resolution of those matters in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise business units and operational management on compliance with federal and state environmental regulations, including but not limited to CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, TSCA, and applicable OSHA standards and regulations. Manage EHS litigation, regulatory enforcement actions, on- and off-site agency investigations, and administrative proceedings.
Skills/Qualifications:
Required:
Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school Active admission to at least one U.S. state bar and in good standing Minimum of four (4) years of full-time, relevant legal experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) law Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively counsel non-legal business clients Ability to travel to operational facilities as business needs require Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as intranet and internet-based toolsPreferred:
Experience managing environmental litigation, regulatory enforcement actions, or federal and/or state agency investigationsBenefits:
