We are now are looking for the right LADC to help us establish our program. We are in a position to build our program from the ground up. The ideal candidate would be interested in taking on a leadership role within the program to help develop it with the highest standards in mind. We plan to offer treatment for FOUR specialized adult populations who are underserved in Northern Minnesota, so a high level of sensitivity and professionalism will be required. Ideally, the consultant would remain part of the team after the program is established, to provide ongoing treatment, consultation, and program oversight. Crosswind Counseling Center serves a wide range of community members, including those who have experienced significant trauma, relationship difficulties, and who have current or historical criminal justice system involvement. Our clinicians specialize in trauma‑informed care, gender‑affirming therapy, and support for anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Adding substance use treatment is critical to further supporting these populations and needs. We look forward to growing our services with you, to support our community! Specific Job Duties Provide clinical oversight of all SUD treatment services in accordance with MN 245G requirements. Ensure assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries meet regulatory and agency standards. Participate in case consultation as desired. Consult regarding program operations, including scheduling, service delivery, and workflow efficiency. Oversee compliance with DHS licensing standards, audits, corrective action plans, and documentation requirements. Support integrated care by collaborating with mental health providers, medical teams, and community partners. Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation of clinical staff. Monitor quality assurance processes, including chart audits, incident reviews, and outcome tracking. Provide direct client services including assessments, crisis intervention, and counseling. Promote a culturally responsive, trauma‑informed, and recovery‑oriented treatment environment. Qualifications Active Minnesota LADC license required. Minimum 2-4 years of clinical experience in SUD treatment; supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Minnesota Statutes 245G, 245A, 260E, 626.557, and 626.5572. Strong knowledge of substance use disorders, co‑occurring mental health conditions, ASAM criteria, and evidence‑based practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Experience with electronic health records and clinical compliance standards Preferred Experience Familiarity with DHS audits, licensing reviews, and quality improvement processes. Training in trauma‑informed care, co‑occurring disorders, crisis intervention, or culturally specific services. Minnesota LPCC, LMFT, LICSW, LGSW, or LP credentials. Supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred. Experience working with justice-involved people. Compensation The consultant will be a 1099 Independent Contractor, with the option for W2 employment after program development. Thus, the wage range is quite varied, because the role we are hiring for is also varied - whether the contractor helps with just program development, or stays on to provide direct client care, and whether the applicant remains a contractor or employee.
