full-time Company Description Thorn & Rose Counseling PLLC provides specialized mental health care for teens and young adults in the DFW area, with primary services based in Flower Mound and Frisco, TX. The practice focuses on supporting clients through challenges related to attachment, relationships, anxiety, work-life balance, and major life transitions. Services are designed to be collaborative, affirming, and tailored to the developmental needs of adolescents and emerging adults. Clinicians work in a supportive environment that values ethical, client-centered care and ongoing professional growth. Christian counseling is available upon request. Role Description The Teen and Young Adult Therapist is a contract role responsible for providing individual therapy and counseling to adolescents and young adults. This hybrid position is based in Flower Mound, TX, with a combination of in-office sessions and some work-from-home telehealth services as appropriate. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, maintaining clinical documentation, and delivering evidence-informed interventions focused on attachment, relationships, anxiety, and life transitions. The therapist will coordinate care with families and other providers when needed, uphold professional and legal standards, and participate in case consultation or supervision as required. Qualifications Active, unrestricted license in Texas as

LPC, LPC-A

(with supervision), LMFT, LMFT-A, LCSW, or equivalent behavioral health credential. Demonstrated experience providing therapy to teens and young adults, including work with anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, and work-life balance. Training or familiarity with attachment-based, relational, CBT, DBT, or other evidence-informed therapeutic modalities. Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, clinical documentation, and maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Comfort with providing both in-person sessions and secure telehealth services in a hybrid work model. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for working with clients, families, and interdisciplinary providers. Ability to work independently as a contractor, manage a caseload, and use electronic health record systems or practice management software. Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related mental health field. Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive, and gender-neutral care for diverse teen and young adult populations. Prior private practice or outpatient experience in Texas is preferred but not required.
