full-time Company Description Connecticut Addiction Counseling & Coaching, PLLC (CTACC) is a counseling and coaching practice focused on recovery-oriented services for people experiencing substance use challenges and co-occurring mental health concerns. CTACC uses individualized, evidence-based, and effective strategies to support individuals, couples, and families in achieving their personal and relational goals. The practice emphasizes collaborative, client-centered care that honors each person's unique recovery journey. CTACC provides a supportive, professional environment for practitioners who value integrity, empathy, and continuous learning. Role Description This is a contract Therapist role in a hybrid setting, based in West Hartford, CT, with the option to complete some work from home. The Therapist will provide individual, couples, and family counseling and coaching services, with a focus on substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering evidence-based interventions, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and coordinating care with other providers as needed. The Therapist will monitor client progress, adjust treatment strategies, and support clients in setting and achieving recovery goals. Participation in case consultation, ongoing professional development, and adherence to ethical and legal standards of practice are expected. Qualifications Licensed or license-eligible mental health professional in Connecticut (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist, or equivalent); appropriate certification or training in addiction counseling preferred. Demonstrated experience providing counseling or therapy related to substance use, addiction recovery, and co-occurring mental health concerns, using evidence-based approaches. Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, clinical documentation, and case management, with attention to detail and confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with the ability to build trust, maintain professional boundaries, and work with diverse populations. Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, manage a caseload, and use telehealth and electronic health record systems effectively. Commitment to recovery-oriented, person-centered care and ongoing professional growth; experience with couples and family work is a plus. Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
