Full-Time or Part-Time Border Area Mental Health Services, Inc., dba Southwest Counseling Center, has served southern New Mexico for more than fifty years. We are hiring licensed, provisionally licensed, and master's level intern therapists in Las Cruces, Deming, and Silver City.

SUPERVISION

If you are working toward independent licensure, this part matters. Your supervision would be provided by Dr. Amalia Humada-Ludeke, our Clinical Director. She is an independently licensed LMFT with a Psy.

D. in Psychology and an Ed.

D. in Educational Leadership, a former tenured professor of counseling, and she holds supervisory designation from the State of New Mexico. Every intern she has recruited and supervised at this agency has passed their licensure board examination on the first attempt. Supervision is individual and group, includes exam preparation, and costs you nothing. It is never deducted from your pay. If you are not ready to sit for your exam, you continue working under her license until you are.

PAY OPTIONS 1.

Guaranteed Hourly Pay - $35/hour Paid for all hours worked Ideal for clinicians who prefer stability and predictable income 2. Productivity-Based Pay - $40-$50/hour Higher hourly rate paid only for completed billable sessions Ideal for clinicians who want flexible scheduling and higher earning potential Rate depends on licensure level, experience, and selected pay model.

WHAT YOU WOULD DO

Provide individual therapy to children, teens, adults, and families. Complete assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation. Deliver trauma informed, client centered care. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
