Position Summary:
Charleston Hope is seeking School-Based Clinicians to provide direct mental health services to students through the THRIVE program at Pepperhill Elementary and Hunley Park Elementary. These are seasonal part-time positions at 8 flexible hours per week. Each clinician is responsible for delivering 150 hours of direct individual therapy at their assigned school site within the contract period. Eligible license types include LPC, LPC-A, LMFT, LISW-CP, and Licensed Psychologist. LPC-Associates will be provided clinical supervision through an approved Charleston Hope supervisor.
Schedule & Availability:
This position requires 8 hours of flexible weekly availability. Scheduling is determined week-to-week based on student needs at the assigned school site. Clinicians do not work fixed days — weekly schedules are coordinated through the Care Coordinator to ensure every student receives consistent weekly access to therapy. Submit weekly availability to the Care Coordinator by the prior Friday Maintain flexible weekly availability across multiple days to meet student scheduling needs MTSS meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings are included within the 8 weekly hours
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 150 hours of direct individual therapy to an assigned caseload of approximately 10 students Conduct student intakes, assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans See students weekly with flexible scheduling coordinated through the Care Coordinator Complete same-day session notes and data entry Attend MTSS meetings at assigned school once per month Attend Charleston Hope multidisciplinary team meetings once per month Maintain biweekly communication with parents and guardians Support crisis response and safety planning Participate in Charleston Hope trainings and professional development
Required Qualifications:
Active SC license in good standing: LPC, LPC-A, LMFT, LISW-CP, or Licensed Psychologist LPC-As must be eligible for supervision through Charleston Hope's approved supervisor Knowledge of trauma-informed and child-centered therapeutic approaches Flexible weekly availability across multiple days to meet student scheduling needs Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and treatment planning skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous school-based counseling or therapy experience Familiarity with MTSS and school-based mental health collaboration Experience in Title 1 or diverse school settings Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply

Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation range: $18,000-$21,000 commensurate with experience and licensure, paid bi-weekly. Paid school breaks are included — you are compensated during Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring breaks even when schools are closed. 16 paid holiday and organizational closure days included within contract period Clinical supervision provided for LPC-Associates at no cost Professional development opportunities
