West River Mental Health is currently accepting applications for a Counselor to join our Outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) team . About the Position This position provides comprehensive outpatient behavioral healthcare to individuals experiencing substance use disorders. The Counselor will play an important role in supporting clients throughout their recovery journey by providing treatment, rehabilitation, and ongoing support services.
Responsibilities may include:
Providing individual and group counseling services Completing assessments and supporting the development of individualized treatment plans Providing treatment and support to individuals with substance use disorders Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, person-centered care Supporting clients as they work toward recovery, stability, and improved overall well-being Maintaining appropriate documentation and meeting program and regulatory requirements This is an opportunity to be part of a team that is making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families throughout our communities. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field required Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) preferred We welcome candidates who are passionate about helping individuals on their recovery journey and interested in continuing to grow their knowledge and skills within the behavioral healthcare field.
