Betty Hardwick Center is currently looking to hire an Admissions LPC in Abilene. : This position assists adults and children applying for mental health services by determining eligibility for admission and providing diagnostic evaluations. Primary duties include conducting assessments to document mental health status, social history, and determining appropriate levels of care. The position also engages individuals in the recovery planning process to promote successful treatment outcomes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for individuals seeking mental health services. Determine eligibility and level of care based on clinical findings and established guidelines. Develop and participate in recovery and treatment planning with individuals and their support systems. Provide crisis intervention services to individuals in need of inpatient or outpatient care determination. Conduct follow-up contacts with individuals after a crisis to ensure continuity of care and appropriate service linkage. Participate in the after-hours crisis rotation, providing on-call consultation and support as needed. Serve on the Critical Incident & Stress Management (CISM) team to offer support services to disaster victims when required. Provide clinical consultation and guidance to bachelor's-level mental health professionals and peer providers within the Center. This is a full-time position with standard work hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pmQUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work or Psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Must either have a current license as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT or Psychologist.
- Must be eligible to be certified as a Qualified Mental Health Professional.
- Must have previous mental health work experience with adult mental health consumers.
- Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License and be an insurable driver.
