Bonus Potential Summary/Objective The Licensed Professional Counselor will work collaboratively with the Behavioral Health Medical Director, physicians and mid-level providers to provide continuous and comprehensive services necessary for the delivery and promotion of optimal Behavioral Health Services. Essential Job Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Provides counseling/therapy to scheduled patients, including group and family therapy sessions utilizing professional counseling standards based on the needs of patient related to age and development. Provides written documentation of counseling sessions, assessments and interventions to providers. Develops short term and long term goals for each patient and documents strengths as part of the treatment plan. Identify patients with urgent mental health conditions and provides assistance in crisis situations. Participates in team management approach by attending all Team Treatment meetings and assist with development of treatment plan for each patient. Maintain and update professional knowledge through continuing education. Required Education and Experience Master's degree in counseling or a counseling related field from an accredited college or university 3-5 years of related experience. Required License/Certifications LPC License from Texas State Board of Examiners.
