Full Job Description Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals seeking mental health support. The ideal candidate will bring expertise, empathy, and professionalism to help clients navigate their mental health challenges and achieve wellness.
Part-time shift available:
Saturday and Sunday - (7am to 7 pm) Qualified Mental Health Professional job duties: Working hand in hand with the Administrator and Behavioral Health Authority on all issues and concerns of the residents. Must complete at least 16 units of psychosocial programming each day. The range of topics are to include, but not limited to: problem-solving, communication skills, anger management, community re-integration skills, as well as co-occurring psychiatric and substance use diagnosis issues. Schedule daily groups and individual sessions with consumers and enter daily psychosocial progress notes. Handle client health information at a minimum necessary to document data, access and carry out responsibilities of the position, maintains client confidentiality. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect. Responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field Valid Texas Driver's license required Proven experience in providing mental health counseling Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism Knowledge of mental health assessment tools and evidence-based treatment modalities Commitment to ethical standards and client confidentiality
