Key Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Valid Texas teaching certification with Special Education endorsements Relevant experience in special education, social work, counseling, or a similar setting Professional background as a school counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), or with training in psychology/social work strongly valued

Essential Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for students requiring targeted support Carry out Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to determine students' needs and effective interventions Participate actively in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal), IEP (Individualized Education Program), RtI (Response to Intervention), and 504 planning meetings Collaborate with teachers to support classroom management strategies and contribute to creating a positive learning environment Provide expert guidance and crisis intervention for students as situations arise In addition to a meaningful impact in the lives of students, this position offers starting compensation from $30 per hour (commensurate with experience), and the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of education professionals.
