Connections Child & Family Center is a specialty group practice serving children, teens, and families across the north Houston area. Our deepest demand right now is young children — and we will not refer them to clinicians who do talk therapy at a kid-sized table and call it play therapy. We want the real thing. If you are the person who actually understands what a child is telling you in the sand tray, we have a caseload and a room waiting for you. The role A caseload of children under 12, referred to you because this is what you do A fully equipped playroom, with a $1,500 startup budget to build the room your work deserves. Kid clinicians get office space here. Always — not a shared room you break down between sessions. W-2 per-session compensation with paid admin time and paid meetings on top of clinicial hours 15 clinical hours per week minimum; most clinicians build to 20-25 Weekly case consultation with a team that specializes in child and family work — people who will actually have something useful to say about your four-year-old with selective mutism The pay, stated plainly $57.00- $62 per clinical hour , W-2, plus paid admin time and paid meetings. Differentials — above base, for the credentials that change what you can do in the room: Working toward RPT? Pediatricians in this area know us for child work. You will not sit with an empty calendar waiting for the phone to ring. We invest in the credential. The training fund and the room budget aren't perks we mention and never fund. They're line items. Room to grow. We run specialty programs in DBT, anxiety and OCD, psychological testing, and perinatal mental health. Clinicians here build depth, not just caseload. You LPC, LMFT, or LCSW licensed in Texas. Strong associates considered, with papered supervision through our training program. RPT — or meaningful play therapy training and a real intent to pursue it. We can tell the difference between someone who took one weekend workshop and someone building a practice around this. You genuinely like working with little kids. And with their parents, which is the harder half. After-school, evening, or weekend availability is required. Kids come when school lets out. This is not negotiable and we'd rather say so now.
