Duties/ Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive behavioral health and substance use assessments. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients. Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group psychotherapy services. Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups for individuals with substance use disorders, including clients referred through probation, parole, or other community partners. Utilize evidence-based interventions for substance use treatment, including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), relapse prevention, recovery-oriented approaches, and other best practices. Monitor client progress, document group participation, and communicate treatment recommendations with referral sources as appropriate. Complete clinical documentation, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with agency, Medicaid, and regulatory standards. Maintain productivity expectations while ensuring quality, timely, and person-centered care. Conduct crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and safety planning as clinically indicated. Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, case managers, peer recovery specialists, probation and parole officers, and other community providers to coordinate care. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, clinical supervision, and required trainings. Provide referrals to community resources and coordinate continuity of care. Educate clients and families regarding mental health, substance use recovery, relapse prevention, medication adherence, and available community supports. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, Virginia regulations, and agency policies.Qualifications/Skills:
Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related Human Services field required. Licensed or eligible to work toward licensure (LPC or LCSW) upon approval by the respective Board required. A minimum of five (5) years' work experience in a human services field, preferably in a mental health setting preferred. Valid current driver's license and acceptable DMV record at time of hire and continuously thereafter OR Licensed or eligible to work toward licensure (LPC or LCSW) upon approval by the respective Board required.Full-time Licensed Clinician Benefits:
