Job Description
ClearHorizon Forensic & Counseling Group is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Resident in Counseling to support the continued growth of our Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) services in Northern Virginia . We are specifically seeking a clinician who is willing and able to travel on-site to juvenile detention facilities to provide in-person behavioral health services to justice-involved youth. This position is ideal for a clinician who is comfortable working within structured, multidisciplinary environments and is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system. Position Responsibilities Provide individual counseling and behavioral health services to justice-involved youth Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation and progress notes Collaborate and coordinate with juvenile detention facility staff, case managers, probation personnel, and other members of the youth's treatment team Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary communication as appropriate Maintain professional, ethical, and confidential clinical practices in accordance with agency, facility, and regulatory requirements Travel to assigned juvenile detention facilities throughout the Northern Virginia service area Preferred Qualifications Active Virginia Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license or current approval as a Resident in Counseling Experience providing behavioral health services to adolescents Experience addressing mental health, behavioral, emotional, or substance-use-related concerns Experience working with justice-involved youth or other court-involved populations preferred Previous experience in juvenile justice, correctional, forensic, residential, or similar settings is highly beneficial Strong clinical documentation, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary treatment teams Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to assigned facilities About ClearHorizon ClearHorizon Forensic & Counseling Group is a multidisciplinary behavioral health practice providing evidence-based clinical and forensic services to individuals involved with courts, juvenile justice agencies, probation departments, attorneys, and other community partners.
