Work Environment Located in Front Royal, Virginia, an area known for its beautiful landscapes and outdoor activities, this position is primarily onsite, enabling physical therapists to provide hands-on care. The team consists of skilled professionals who work collaboratively to ensure that all team members support each patient's recovery journey, combining expertise and compassion. Key Responsibilities The Physical Therapist will: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional capabilities and limitations to develop personalized treatment plans. Implement appropriate therapeutic interventions based on clinical guidelines and continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness. Document all treatment sessions accurately, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to professional standards and legal requirements. Consult with other healthcare providers regarding patients' comprehensive care plans, ensuring seamless coordination of services. Engage in ongoing communication with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members to foster collaboration in care. Participate actively in community outreach initiatives, program development, and leadership roles, helping to promote health and wellness. Maintain and enhance professional knowledge through continuing education and involvement in in-service training. Supervise and mentor support staff, ensuring high standards of care and adherence to organizational policies. Patient Population / Client Focus This role focuses on a diverse patient population at varying stages of rehabilitation, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those with chronic pain, and patients with neurological conditions. Each patient requires a tailored approach that addresses not only their physical needs but also emotional support to encourage recovery. The ability to work effectively with patients from different backgrounds and cultures is essential. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field. A current state license in Physical Therapy. Proficient written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with patients and the interdisciplinary team. Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle a varied caseload. Comfort and proficiency with electronic medical record systems and basic computer skills. Preferred Experience A minimum of two years of direct experience in physical therapy is required, preferably in home care or a similar setting. Candidates with additional certifications or specialized training in orthopedic rehabilitation, geriatric care, or neurology will be given preference.
